Assistant Manager / Manager, Business Development (Macau)

About the role

Manulife is looking for an Assistant Manager / Manager, Business Development in Macau. The role focuses on the agency channel, supporting IFP (Individual Financial Products) business across all aspects, and supporting company initiatives that drive IFP business through product and operations training for agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the overall Macau sales target for commissions, premiums and the full range of individual financial products.
• Drive sales of H&P and help agencies build a healthy product mix that contributes to net book value growth.
• Provide top-tier sales support to agencies, such as clearing pending cases on a monthly basis.
• Maintain strong relationships with agencies and grow their loyalty to Manulife.
• Act as the communication bridge between agencies and business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, education or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience, including at least 3 years in the life insurance industry.
• Front-line sales, training and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to train and present in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
• Insurance product knowledge and willingness to learn new products and procedures.
• Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; customer centric and result oriented; good team player who can work independently.

Required skills

• Spoken and written Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
